All 5 on the Farm - Mathew's Birthday

All 5 grandkids came to the farm for the week-end - a fun time for all!

Mathew had chosen to come to the farm for his birthday and his favorite meal.

The girls helped me in the house.

We were preparing Mathew's birthday meal - chicken fried steak with all the trimmings and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Wow - It's hard to believe he is 14!

A fun time we had!  

We will be fortunate enough to see all 5 many times this summer!!

The Girls on the Farm

The girls came to the farm for overnight. 

We made a cake.

Of course, they had to clean out the bowl, beaters and spoon after icing the cake.

They enjoyed the cots.

The cake recipe was very easy to do:  Make a white cake mix according to package directions.  After baking, poke holes in the cake then top with 1 can crushed pineapple with 1 cup of sugar.  Bring this to a boil, then pour over cake.  Let cool.  Ice with cream cheese icing.

Time to play games after lunch.  Earlier the boys, Bryan and McKaylea helped Grandpop while Melodi, Emma and I went to a shower.
