Our Wagon Wheels and Cream Can

Someone had the nerve to steal our 4 metal wagon wheels and cream can by the 2 gates.  They moved a corn sheller, but evidently it was too heavy for them.
One wheel was left - Mel thought maybe it was wired too tightly for them.
What a shame to think there are people in this world that does that!  My hope is that their guilty
conscious convicts until they decide to stop stealing!!
Our wagon wheel that was left is now chained to the metal fence so we can keep it!!

Getting Jett and Going to a Football Game

Time for another football game!  Amberlea needed to work so we picked Jett up at school.
We had heard about Del Rancho for years and had never eaten there.  Now was the time to try it!
Mel, Jett and I really enjoyed it!  Next time Mel and I will share a sandwich because they are so large.  Definitely a place to visit again!!
McKaylea was a cheer girl at this game! She did a great job!!

Visiting with Mathew after his practice

Branson 2015

Time for our annual trip to Branson with our church group.  We had 11 that went.
2 were in wheelchairs and 2 used walkers.  A very sweet group that was agreeable and very appreciative!  A fun time was enjoyed by all!

Our Spoiled Horses

While at the Quarter Horse Museum, carrots and apples were suggested as good snacks for horses.
Since I had some carrots in the fridge, I decided I would give them to our horses.
Would you believe all except Buddy "spit them" out???  I thought I would outsmart them the next day and chop them up with some horse feed.  They same story!  They spit them out - except for Buddy.
There was a commercial about a small boy named 'Mikie" who would eat anything.  Buddy is our "Mikie"!!

Amarillo, Texas to Register Horses

Mel and I went to Amarillo, Texas to register 2 horses at The American Quarter Horse Association.
These are the 2 we registered:
 Frosty

  Buddy

We had breakfast at The Corner Cafe in Wynnewood.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express East in Amarillo.

Signing the papers for the transfer

All done!

We went to the Quarter Horse Museum while we were there.

La Fiesta Grande was where we ate.

The next morning we stopped at Texas Welcome Center to see about a different route home.  We wanted to take the "back roads" as Mel calls them.
Our final destination was Woodward.  Since Jacob had a game at Mutual that night we would watch his game then go back to Woodward to spend the night and come home the next morning.

This nice lady marked the route on the map for us.

 Our marked map

As we went through one of the small Texas towns, we stopped at the Roberts County Museum in Miami, Texas.  What a neat little museum!

This worker at the museum was from Blanchard, Oklahoma!
What a small world!

Our next stop was Washita Battlefield National Historic Site in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
A great museum that explains The Battle of Wahita River when Lt. Col. George Custer's 7th U.S. Calvary attacked Black Kettle's Southern Cheyenne camp on the Washita River.   It is free of charge.

Before the football game we at at Ramiro's Mexican Restaurant in Woodward.

What a football game we enjoyed watching!  The Patiots were down 22 points at the half.  They came back to win by 2 points!!  Way to go Patriots!!

Proud of This Girl!

Mel and I attended the baptism of McKaylea!  How proud we are of her and her decision to follow Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and Lord.

How blessed we are that all 5 of our grandchildren are Christians!!  We give thanks to our Precious Lord and Savior!
