Thanksgiving

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we enjoyed together!  The food was delicious, the table setting beautiful and the visitation great!  Such a memorable time together!!

A big "Thanks" to Mitch, Amberlea and Jett for hosting Thanksgiving!

How we do give thanks for so many blessings, especially family and friends!

"Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good.  His love endures forever."
Psalm 136:1
"I will praise the name of God with song, and shall magnify Him with thanksgiving."
Psalm 69:30
"And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him."
Colossians 3:17

Thanksgiving Eve with Family

A fun time with the kids and grandkids enjoying taco and tortilla soups and homemade tamales (thanks to the Mother of one of Mitch's employees)!

What we want to remember 365 days of the year as well as Thanksgiving Day!!

Yum!  The home-made tamales

The grandkids playing with Mexican Jumping Beans

Our Precious Daughters

Our 5 Special Blessings

Amberlea's 1st pumpkin pie

Our Stolen Tractor

What a sinking and horrible feeling when Mel went to the barn to use our tractor and it was gone!!
Come to find out, the thief or thieves had driven several hundred feet across Uniman property that joins ours and then went across the turnpike and cut 3 fences to get to the cut-off road between the turnpike and Lightning Ridge Road.
To think there are people who steal from others is just awful!  You feel violated, disgusted and upset with some humans that they could be of such character and caliber to do this!!

A section of tracks left by the thief
Now we suffer several thousands of dollars loss because of this horrible thief or thieves!!

Jett's Basketball Game

We watched Jett play basketball.  What fun to see the young kids learning and trying hard.

Thanksgiving with Grammy

Because of recent falls we had to move Grammy to the Artesian for a while.
How difficult it is to have to see and experience our loved one and family go through the hard decisions for what is best for the loved one.
We enjoyed a delicious meal with her!

Christmas Tree for New House

Amberlea, Jett and I went shopping for a Christmas tree for  the new house.  After deciding the one in the ad was not what we wanted, Amberlea found another one much prettier.
We are all set to decorate for Christmas at the "city house"!

The Boys Spend the Night at Yukon

Jake and Mat spent the night with us at the new house.

A stop at Walgreen's was made.

Cane's for supper

Football and World Series Game!!

Sunday morning we got around early and had doughnuts before leaving Mat at the vet clinic and then taking Jake home.

A fun time and memories made with these boys of whom we are so proud!!

Jacob's Basketball Scrimmage

Jake's team had their first scrimmage against an older more experienced team, OnPoint Academy.
A good learning and practice experience!

Afterwards, their coach treated them to lunch at McDonald's to discuss the scrimmage.

Learning How to Regrip Golf Clubs

Mel purchased a couple of used golf club sets at garage sales.  They will be used for practice on the farm.  Since he needed to have a couple of his "good" golf clubs regrouped, he observed how it was done so he can do it to the "used" clubs.

Golf Table

Mel and I had been looking at ideas and ways to have a golf accented table in our "golf bedroom".  We found the perfect table at The Rink!!

A great way to display our antique golf clubs with balls and tees!!

New TV and Stand

After 9 years our TV played out!  Time for a new one.  The Woods' Family was on the farm so we enlisted their expertise in hooking it up to our DirecTV system.
A couple of days later our DirecTV was updated and we added a new TV stand!

Our Strong Handsome Movers!!

Jacob, Mathew and Bryan loaded our hutch and bookcase on the farm and graciously took it and unloaded it for us in Yukon!

A big "Thank You" to these wonderful guys!!
