Great Wolf Lodge

Once again it was time for our trip to the Great Wolf Lodge.
Everyone looks forward to the fun and time spent together!

Heading Out to Grapevine!

The Birthday Boy (9 years old)

While waiting for the Woods Family to arrive, we visited downtown Grapevine.  Grandpop and Jett waited in the car while Amberlea and I shopped.  Looks as though Jett is "baby-sitting" Grandpop.
(Mel is taking a nap.)

Amberlea put the bracelet on Grandpop's arm as well as Grandmom's.

A New look for these 2!

Water Fun!!

The Flip Flop Story
I think every year Mel and I have an issue with flip flops.  Last year Mel had a shoe from 2 different pairs of flip flops.  This year he went to the room before I did and he wore one of his and one of mine.
He did think they felt funny on his feet!

Pizza from Pizza Hut
Jacob was Grandmom's helper with the pizza!

Those "Sure Enough Good-Looking" Calves

Our crop of calves are pretty things.  As Grandpop will ask what kind of cows or calves he has, the grandkids will respond, "Sure enough good-looking" cows or calves."

The Calf's Antics

While putting water in the troughs for the cows this calf decided he liked the spray of water coming from the faucet.  It was so cute watching the calf.

Jett's 9th Birthday

Hard to believe that our youngest grandchild turned 9!  How quickly they are growing up!  Of course, Mel and I are not getting older at all!!

One of Jett's favorites - chocolate chip cookie pizza

Happy Birthday Jett!!

February Horse Show

With the weather limiting the amount of practice time, Mel, as he said, "Came in the middle of the pack" on the competitions.  The exception was Cow Working - he came in 3rd there and would have won 1st place if he had heard the signal to change ends of the arena during the competition.
We look forward to the March Show!

Practicing For February Horse Show

The Stock Horse show season will begin in February.  Time to practice and get Buttercup ready for competition, especially the Trail part.
The horse pulling a log will be one of the activities of Trail.  Buttercup didn't want to have anything to do with a post tied to a rope for her to pull at first, but after patience and a lot of practice, she did much better!

Of course, the curiosity of our cat took over and he had to check out what was taking place.

Don't know if he is waiting to encourage Buttercup or protecting the post!!
