A Third Boy on the Farm

Aamberlea did Telestroke Program Classes for area hospitals so she and Jett spent a few days on the farm.
Jett was thrilled he would have some time with the "big cousins"!

The morning begins on the farm

Breakfast and discussion of the day's schedule

The trio ready for work!

Jake and Jett helped me in the garden.

Mat helped Grandpop with changing some fencing.

Maybe about as much paint on himself as the fence???

A country lunch!

Results of a late night and big lunch!!!

Never a dull moment on the farm but what fun!!!

The Boys on the Farm

The boys are so much help on the farm!  Hard to believe they are so grown-up!

Jake helped Grandpop lift the heavy container of diesel so the tractor could be filled.

Repairs on the corral were done.

Jacob began practicing driving from the house to the barn.

Garden Time
While picking green beans, we discovered this nest under a bean plant.

Picking green beans

This  rabbit seemed to be "vegetable shopping" as he went from the beans, to the squash, to the peas    and then okra!

Just some of the jobs the boys did.

Swap # 1 Getting the Boys

After checking calendars and schedules we would be able to do 6 swaps to get the boys and later the girls from one destination to another.  They would do projects for us on the farm, work for Amberlea, have vacation time, then come back to the farm.
All 5 grandkids would spend a week on the farm - the first time for all 5 together without parents.  Normally, we had the boys for a week, then the girls so each had special time with us.
What fun was in store for us!!

SWAP # 1 - Natty Flat's Smokehouse
All enjoy the delicious food at Natty Flat's!  A good half-way meeting point plus good food to boot!

On our way home we stopped at Teskey's Farm Store and bought Mat some new work boots.
Jacob had gotten some last year so he was in good shape.

Of course, a stop at Braum's was in order!

On the way home the boys asked Grandpop if he had recorded any good movies for them!  Of course, "YES" was his reply!
Grandpop is the "Media Specialist" for making sure the grandkids have good movies.

Let the projects begin!!!
