Saturday in OKC

Mel and I enjoyed coffee and danish at Panera Bread, then we headed to Putnam City North for the Arts Festival.

The elementary students had art work displayed and performed a concert.

Later, Mel and I went to the Chickasaw Ball Park where Roff played in the finals.

 Unfortunately, Roff was defeated 3 to 1 in extra innings; however, it was an honor to make it to the State Finals.

Time for us to head back to the farm and check on the farm critters!!

A fun time in OKC, but as always, it is nice to be home!

A Week-end in OKC

We had doctor's appointments, Roff played in the State Baseball Tournament and we had plans for a Mother's Day "Girls' Day Out" and a "Guys' Day Out" so Mel and I spent the week-end in OKC.
Roff played Thursday afternoon and won.  Mel and I ate at On the Border that evening.

We met at the Woods' house  for our "Day Out".

 Now it was time for our pedicures.

After the game we went to Hideaway Pizza.

Onions, Onions, Onions!!

Because of receiving 7 plus inches of rain in April, the onions were beginning to get soft and beginning to ruin.  Time to pull onions!  Our little gardner had put out a few hundred on our land.  Mel and I got busy.  We were fortunate to have Joe, Margaret and Donny come to help.

Because of so many onions and the need to use them rather quickly, we donated a bunch to the Senior Citizens Center.  Still onions were left so Mel drove around town giving onions away while I delivered meals!

When we have fresh onions, it's time to have home-made onion rings!  Yum!  Yum!

Genealogy Workshop

Mel and I attended a workshop in Ada at the Pontotoc County Historical and Genealogical Society.
The workshop was very informative and the members very helpful in doing searches.
