My Under-Counter Light in the Kitchen

The ballast in the under-counter light in the kitchen went out.  Time for a new one!  Locke's did not have one so I figured it would be easier to just replace the whole light.  Jerry found a ballast at Home Depot.  Good deal (we thought)!
Mel and I started to replace it early one morning!  Well, after one look at the old and new ballasts, we knew we would need help!  The wires were different on them.  Jerry looked at the two and said he could make it work!  He sure did after some rewiring!

Jett for the Day

Jett spent the day with us at Surrey.  After our doctor's appointments we picked him up.  He was a hungry boy!

Too Much Rain???

This snail was on our front porch!  Was it telling us that we have had too much rain (10 inches in 2 days)???

July Deluge

Wow!  We are not experiencing a typical July!  8 inches of rain fell on July 2; then, 2 more inches fell the next night!  Close to 10 inches of rain in 2 days!!  Seems as though we are making up for the June deficit in a very short time!

How thankful we are for the rain!
(Even if it was received in a short time!)

Hay Season Again

Time for the meadow to be cut and baled!

The hay total was 260 bales!!
