Locked out!!

After unloading items from the car in the garage at Surrey, we started inside the house.  We were spending the night there.  Well, the door from the garage into the house was locked.  Never do we lock that door!  Evidently the realtor had!   We didn't have a key since I had given mine to the realtor.  Fortunately, Amber had a key!  She brought it to us so we could get inside!

Since we had a little time before Amber arrived, we went to Sam's to get snacks for the grandkids to sell at the upcoming auction.

Another funny story in our lives!

Moving Items into Storage

Heading out to the storage units

Everyone pitched in to help unload the trucks!  After the trucks were returned to the U-Haul facility in Yukon, it was time to eat!!
Perfect timing again - we had just unloaded the trucks, returned them and almost to Chileno's when it poured!!  The comment was made:  "This is just like the downpour in Galveston last year before we left on the cruise?"

Everyone was hungry, tired and wet (from the rain)!

A big task now completed!
Just a few more tasks on our list to be completed!

Getting U-Haul Trucks and Loading Them

After doing some checking we rented 2 U-Haul trucks and hired 4 men to load the trucks.
John and Mel drove the trucks from the rental place to the farm.

The 4 young men were great workers and loaded the truck in a little over 2 hours!

Loaded and ready to drive out tomorrow.
The Woods Family would come down the next morning.  Bryan and Mel would be the U-Haul drivers.

How empty it looks!!

Farm Veggies

I had planted a few tomato and pepper plants.  They were beginning to bear.

Auction Set-Up

Mel contacted an auction company - Double H Auction.  The only date available that would work for both was June 30th.
The auction would be June 30th at 10:00 a.m.

The move is becoming more real all the time!

Time to Pack

The overwhelming task of packing and getting ready for a move was happening!!
The farm closing would be July 2 and then the closing for the new house would be July 3!
Wow!  It was becoming reality!!

Donation pile

Priscilla checking out the bookcase to be donated

We had boxes everywhere, piles in the garage to be donated and another pile to be thrown away!
Who knew you could accumulate so much!!!

House Inspection

We had the house we were buying inspected.

A few minor things needed to be addressed.  The seller agreed to do the things requested.
Looks as though things are on track for us to purchase the house!
