The Thunder Game

The kids had given us tickets for a OKC Thunder game.  We were all going to the game on Monday, March 14th,  The Thunder was playing Portland.
We all met at the Sheraton, downtown where Mel and I were going to stay for the night.  Since a parking garage was attached to the hotel, the kids parked there as well.
We walked to Chileno's for a meal before the game; then, it was off to the Chesepeake for the game!
A good game was played by the Thunder and they won 124 to 83!  What a fun time together!!

The Portland players were staying at our hotel.
It was very interesting to see some of the players up close.

Thank you Woods Family and Elliott Family for the tickets to the game.
What a fun time together!  Many precious memories we have!

Grammy's 89th Birthday

Grammy celebrated her 89th birthday on March 10th.  It is great to see how well she is doing at her age.
This wonderful, loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has been such a blessing to all of us!
The kids decided to get her a walker with a seat for her gift.

A funny story - later in the day after we had given her the walker, she called me and said that I needed to take the walker back.  I inquired as to what was wrong with it.  She told me it cost too much and we should not have spent that much money.  I convinced her that we wanted to do it!
Grammy has lived so conservatively and cautiously all of her life that it is sometimes hard for her to enjoy a little luxury (although we kids would not call this a luxury).

Garden At Annex

Our little gardener, Shelton, passed away in late February.  He was 92 and he had planted 65 heads of cabbage, a few hundred onions and 2 rows of potatoes.  Now it is our job to take over the garden.  We will miss this caring, generous and unique person!
