The preparations for the farm include extra chores such as turning on heaters and lights in the barns so that the pressure tank and water lines do not freeze. Mel does have it fixed so that the water troughs for the horses and cows have heaters in them. That really helps!
The critters need extra hay during the cold.
When them temps are single digits and the wind chill below zero, it is cold!!
