The steel posts we used
If you remember from an earlier post, I am the one holding the post while Mel uses the front-end of the tractor to push it into the ground.
After getting the post in the ground then we put up panels (better for horses than barbwire).

The ground was so hard, Mel had to dig a while, pour water into the hole and let it seek down, then dig some more. Time consuming!! But he accomplished the job!!
The tractor sure is labor saving!!

After many hours of work, patience, and time we did get the fence done.
We would work early in the morning until the heat began, go in for lunch, rest and resume our work later in the evening when it was cooler.I was out feeding and watering the chickens when I heard a unusual "thundering sound". I looked up to see the 3 horses running around the new pasture, kicking up their hind feet, and checking our their new area!
