Our Chickens' Final Home

Our chickens now have their permanent home (coop).  Mel did a fantastic job converting the tool shed to a "state of the art" chicken coop.  The nests that Jacob made can be pulled out from the back so when gathering eggs we will have NO surprises in the nest.  The bottom of the coop rolls out for easy cleaning.  What an innovative farmer hubby I have!

The back of the coop - notice the latch - that opens for the nests

The nest boxes

Inside the coop showing the roosts and a ramp - Mel made them a ramp to make it easy for them to get on their roosts.

The chicks going toward their new home - they are a little uncertain since this is their first time.

All on the roosts inside their new home
