Early Monday morning we had our second unwanted creature this time on the front porch. Fortunately this time my "knight with a shiny golf club" was here to take care of it. After Mel clubbed it we left it so I could check online to see what kind of snake it was. Luckily, it was just a rat snake and so was the other one in the back. I wish they would find their rats in the pasture and not bother us with searching for some around the house.
Since we had the second unwanted creature, the two kittens moved up to the house today. Mel made them a kitty house and they are our means of defense now. Supposedly, snakes do not come near where cats are. I sure hope that the snakes know this very important fact!!
