Monday with the Grandkids

We began the day with coffee, then cinnamon roll waffles and bacon!  Yum!
Want to know how to have the best waffles?  Be the one to spread the icing!!

A funny story - at breakfast we were discussing our daughters and their busy lives.  I made the comment, "The girls' plates are full!"  Emma looked at her empty plate, then looked at me very confused.  She thought we were talking about she and McKaylea!

Emma and McKaylea each made a cake.  Emma's was for lunch and McKaylea's would be frozen and brought out Friday to made into a bunny cake.

We incorporated math in figuring the ingredients for the cake.  McKaylea even calculated how much we needed for 2 cakes.  Way to go, McKaylea!!

Mat let the chickens out of the pen.

Time to clean the chicks tote

I had good "chick sitters"!!

Mat made the icing for our chocolate cake.

Jake helped make pizza in a pan.

We had pizza in a pan with salad and garlic toast.
For dessert we had chocolate cake.

One of our projects was making a ramp for storage building where we keep the lawnmowers.

The girls were the "go-fors"-  they went to get things we needed.

The girls rode in the back of the pick-up after doing chores.

Our special treat for the evening was peanut butter banana sundaes  - Yum!!

Our movie was "Field of Dreams!.

A busy and fun day with the grankids!  We completed a project, had game time, cooked meals and did chores together!
What memories we have!
