Today was "town day". The kids had coffee and pop tarts, then we bought doughnuts in town.
Off we go!
Waiting for Grandpop - he took the car to have the tire checked.
We returned home, unloaded groceries, watched "Nashville", then headed out for lunch.
Lunch was at Mazzio's.
After lunch it was time for rest, crafts, Life on the Farm and watching the March Madness basketball.
Time to clean the chicks pen again.
What we found at the store to use when decorating our cake tomorrow.
We found edible grass!!
Craft time
We ended our game of Life on the Farm. No one went bankrupt so we totaled the cows and cash.
Jake had the most cows and Mat had the most cash.
Chores
McKaylea rode in the back of the pick-up.
Moving and rearranging panels for the horses
Jake can carry the feed trough with one hand!
Mat helped Grandpop with another trough.
Dumping water trough
McKaylea is ready for the time to turn on the water faucet.
Feed for the horses
3 Handsome Guys!!
2 Beautiful girls with Grandpop!!
Jake took a selfie of us.
Mat dug out a piece of metal that was stuck in the ground.
We took out and old fence so Grandpop got items needed.
Off we go!
Cutting the old wire
Emma and McKaylea were to "stuff" the barrel with wire.
Time to head home!
Jake waving the "rag" flag while going to the barn
I'll just say, "Only Jake!"
A lot was accomplished on the farm today. Not everyone has the opportunity to take out fence and ride on a trailer with the grandkids! Such great times together and many memories to enjoy!
Our funny story for today - Putting the wire in the barrel - Grandpop told McKaylea to "put little pieces of wire in her end". (Grandpop was referring to the her end of the barrel). Jake started laughing, then everyone else. Jake thought the rest of us was "a little slow in catching on" to what Grandpop said!
No movie since we watched the basketball games tonight.
