Our New Gardening Technique

Mel and I decided to try a new gardening technique.  An article about hay bale gardening was in the newspaper.  An adaptation of this is what we decided to try since we had hay and plenty of dirt.  The only thing that would be lost was time and effort.  If it works, super!  If it doesn't, then we will have some very rich dirt!

Step 1:  Dirt is spread out

Step 2:  Hay is rolled out on the dirt several times

Step 3:  More sand and dirt on the hay

We are eager to see how this system works!
