The volleyball story
The kids were playing with the volleyball in the back yard. Somehow, someway, it ended up in our neighbors' yard. (I had the daughter in 3rd grade when I taught). Our neighbors were not home to retrieve the ball. Grandpop and the kids thought maybe they could use the gate at the back to get it.
With a 30 year old fence the gate did not want to open and a bird feeder fell and broke. So much for getting in on their own. Later, our neighbor (I had her daughter in 3rd grade) was home and Mel explained the situation. The fence is being replaced during spring break and the bird feeder was "no big deal"! She was kind to throw the ball back into our yard for us!
Goodwill Shopping
Jett was not interested in shopping. After he went home we shopped for "treasures & bargains" at a couple of Goodwill stores. The girls looked at jewelry but did not find anything. Emma found a scarf and so did McKaylea; however, the scarf McKaylea found was not really one to be worn in most places. After discussion she decided to wait and use her money some other way.

Of course after shopping we needed nourishment!
