Our Presidential Trip - Day 6

Wednesday - we had breakfast at The Amish Village Door Restaurant in Winesburg, Ohio.  They offered a buffet or you could order off the menu.  We chose the buffet.  Delicious!! After shopping at their store we then drove to Millersburg, Ohio to tour The Yoder Amish Home and Farm.

Inside the restaurant

Because the Amish think it is wrong to have their pictures made, we were very respectful of this.

After the tour cookies, pies, breads, etc. could be purchased.  Of course we did!

Look at the handsome fellows in their Amish hats!

After driving through Amish country, we went to Marion, Ohio to Harding Historical Site.
The Harding Home
Warren Gamaliel Harding was the 29th president of the United States.  He was the last U.S. President to hold a Front Porch Campaign, which was conducted from his house in 1920.

Sitting on the famous front porch

The Harding Tomb, located 1 1/2 miles from the Harding Home is a beautiful white marble memorial.

When we grabbed a bite to eat at Burger King, we experienced a new type of drink machine.

We spent the night in Terre Haute, Indiana

A very informative, interesting and fun day on our trip!!!
