Our Presidential Trip - Day 8

Friday - Our day began with breakfast and then we drove to historic downtown Branson and surrounding area.  Later in the day we enjoyed 2 shows.

After breakfast we relaxed for a while waiting for the ticket office to open.

Purchasing our tickets to the Pierce Arrow Show and Six

Downtown Branson
Dick's 5 and 10 - quite a sight to see!

At the quilt shop Margaret and I found some quilted house shoes.

Cute and definitely comfortable!!

The Trolley

Ice cream from the ice cream shop

We stopped at an antique mall.
Margaret bought an apron

I bought a "chamber pot" for our antique bedroom.

We went to the College of the Ozarks.
The students work for their tuition by working in different areas such as: dairy, gardening, meat production, grinding flour, restoring tractors, weaving baskets and  housewares, etc.
Quite a Farmers Market!

Inside the Farmers Market

Antique tractor museum

The Edwards Mill
Students grind corn and it is sold here along with other items.

We shopped at the Branson Craft Mall

Joe and Mel found the candy area quickly.  Joe and Mel bought fudge.  Joe teased us by hiding it in his shirt!

The delicious fudge

We ate at Panera Bread for a mid-afternoon meal.

Pierce Arrow Show

Six
This was a different type of show for us.  It was amazing how the 6 brothers could make all the musical sounds without any instruments.  (In their family they had 10 brothers)

Each of the brothers drove a car with his color stripe.

Show-Off!!

After Six we had ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery!  Fantastic!!

A wonderful time !
