Our Presidential Trip - Day 7

Thursday - we drove 2 1/2 hours to St. Louis, Missouri.  Here we would see Ulysses S. Grant's Historical Home Site.

Ulysses S. Grant Historical Site
Although Grant and his wife, Julia, lived in many other places due to Grant's military career, especially during the upheaval of the Civil War, this home, known was White Haven Farm, was special to Grant and his wife as they purchased it from Julia's family in the 1860s.

Our tour guide

White Haven Farm

The last of the presidential sites that was on our list had been toured.  Now, we changed scenarios and headed to Branson, Missouri for the fun shows.

Lambert's, home of the tossed rolls was where we ate before reaching Branson.  Not only what you order, but the "pass-arounds" of fried okra, black-eye peas, fried potatoes and macaroni with tomatoes makes the amount of food you can eat unbelievable!   Catching a tossed roll just "tops it off"!

The Baldknobbers was the show we saw.
