To give them feed he used an old funnel so we just pour the feed in the funnel and it goes into their pan in the pen. To give them water, the device is similar. Very creative!!
The Ladder
Mel made the chickens a ladder up to their roost. He first made it with just half the number of rungs that you see here in the picture. After watching the chickens and rooster take a step and then have to slide to the next rung, he added some more so they do not have to do their "sliding routine" now.
