Mel's Security System

After our tractor was stolen, we make sure things are locked down before we are gone.  Knowing that we were going to be gone for over a week, Mel set-up a very creative security system!

The driveway was lined with boards that had long nails in them.  

Similar boards were in the breezeway at the barn.

Notice, the string

The picture above shows the string that is attached to a bucket of red paint.  When the door is opened and someone walks in, they would run into the string and have paint fall on them!!

Mel used the safety feature of the tractor seat for another deterrent!

Under the seat is a pin that he pulled out so the tractor could not be started!

What a creative hubby that I have!!
