Sunday - Debarkation Day!!

Back at Galveston Port!
The full moon shining brightly!

We ate breakfast at 6:30 a.m.

After breakfast we went back to the rooms to get luggage.  A choice was given of taking your own luggage or having the luggage unloaded for us and waiting for an assigned time.  We had decided we wanted to carry ours off!  We went to Deck 5 to wait for our deck to be called (Deck 8).

Customs Declaration forms had to be filled out.

Back in the communication world of e-mails, Facebook and Instagram!!

Leaving the ship

We took a shuttle to the parking lot.

Loading luggage in the vehicles

The Woods Family headed to Copperas Cove and the Elliott Family, Mel and I headed north to Oklahoma.
We stopped at Starbucks for coffee, a snack and a restroom break.

The large Sam Houston statue close to Huntsville, Texas
Big Sam consists of five layers of concrete laid over steel mesh attached to a welded framework. The statue stands on a 10 foot base and 67 feet high.  More than 60 tons of concrete and steel were formed into the monument.

I-45 was completely shut down both ways for construction work.  Thank goodness Amber's map app had us exit on a frontage road beforehand!  People who didn't exit early had a long, long wait!!

In Dallas we stopped at In-N-Out burgers!  How good they tasted!!

Back at the Fried Pie Place to wait for Jerry to come get us!

What a special and fun week we had together!!!
The time spent together, stories shared, memories and pictures are priceless!!
How blessed Mel and I are!  How blessed we are as a family!!
