Saturday - Drive to Houston and Johnson Space Center

Our plan for today was that the Elliotts, Mel and I would tour the Johnson Space Center.  The Woods would drive to Houston and tour the Battleship.  Later in the day we would all meet in Sea Brook, Texas to spend the night.

We loaded the car then began our drive to Houston.

At stop at Starbucks was a must!!

We arrived at the Space Center when it was opening!  Our timing was great!

We began with the tram ride to Saturn V,  Mission Control Center and the Rocket Park.

Astronaut Memorial Grove - the Grove consists of live oaks and shumard red oaks planted in honor of astronauts who have died.

What an amazing place to visit!!

When exiting off for BJ's, Amberlea told Mitch right lane, then get in left turn land - Oops!!  We needed right land for right turn - made it!!!  Mitch does a great job maneuvering!!
