Fondue

Fondue - YUM! YUM! Our family enjoys fondue, especially dessert fondue. After looking through several recipes our favorite dessert fondue has become "Chocolate Cheesecake Fondue". The recipe is as follows:
1 cup heavy cream
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a small saucepan, whisk together cream and powdered sugar. Warm over medium-low heat, stirring until bubbles appear around the edge of the pan. Add cream cheese and continue to cook, stirring often, until cheese is melted and the cream is smooth. Put the chocolate chips in a fondue pot or small crockpot. Pour in the hot cream and whisk until the chocolate is melted. Whisk in vanilla. Keep warm for dippng. Do NOT boil.

The pictures show how all enjoyed dipping "for the experience", then the fruit and cake were put in a bowl and the fondue poured over.

The kids were to pick a number between 1 - 10 to see which one dipped first (as you can see by my fingers the number was 7).
