Mel had moved some hay bales to the north end of the barn as a windbreak for the horses. They cats have had so much fun climbing, playing, and chasing one another on them.
Mel was riding one of the horses for the first time. It looks as though the cats want a "bird's eye view" of what was happening.

Boots, our California cat, loves high places. He enjoys being on top of fence posts, etc. Here he is on top of the recently built picket fence. There is not much room for his paws, but he manages very well.
